About the author:

JKirkland was born and raised on the scenic west coast of Puerto Rico on May 9, 1990. Dwelling in a land of extreme beauties, shaken by the rough silence of colonial discourse, his poetry touches ethical, historical and philosophical fibers through visions, introspection, satire, and an appeal to a surreal world, extending into its common intimacies. He studied and graduated with a degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez campus.
